We’ve seen too many quickly hacked together children’s apps that may show off a developer’s technology nicely but have not been thought through when it comes to protecting children, particularly children’s privacy (Not to point fingers, but, those “Santa Apps” that acquire someone’s phone number and address without parental controls? )

This is a maturing Industry in it’s nascent stages.  The “manifesto” is a nice guideline to start forwarding to children’s app developers; whether they are garage shops or large scale corporations.

The results have been remarkable.  High volumes of concurrent users.  But, mainly very high numbers with regard to sessions running 30, 40, 50+ steps in duration (many running from 7-12 minutes)…and, while anonymous (we really don’t know who is using the app, other than by Country and device), we review chat logs and see a lot of people enjoying their conversational text chats with Santa.

Yes, MY SANTA TALK will go back in the shop next year and reappear with even more bells and whistles…it’s become a tradition.

We’ve been working.

Barely time to Tweet, never mind, right a worthwhile blog post.

We are in the process of moving our contentAI studios platform and a service out of Beta to release our Ver. 1.0 product — Sometime during the first week of December.

MySantaTalk for 2011 will be released during the first week of December (Sorry, couldn’t quite hit that Thanksgiving Day Parade release date — But, let’s keep the Holidays separate — The first week of December is perfect to start thinking about Santa).

The 2010 MySantaTalk was available on mobile web.

The all new 2011 MySantaTalk is being entirely rebuilt and redesigned and will feature more bells, whistles and AI tools than it’s predessors…and, it will be available in many more channels. . .mobile web, Android, Windows 7/XP (AppUP), Meego and maybe, just maybe, we’ll even do a native iOS version.  NOOK/color is also a strong possibility.

Announcement will be made, including Links, no later than October.
